ShinoIno: Once in a Lifetime...

Shino's Point of View:

As training came to a close, my teammates decided that training was over for the day. I was aware of this and took it as a sign to go for a stroll to the flower shop. What I did not know was that Ino was waiting for me outside the shop. It seemed as if it was all predetermined, but then I was not expecting it.

"Hey, Shino", Ino said. "Would you like to go somewhere?"

"Sure, I'll go with you", I answered. "Is there anywhere in particular that you wish to take me?"

"You got it. Make sure you keep up though".

Next thing I knew Ino ran off unexpectedly, which, to my surprise, I was running alongside her. It took less than five minutes to reach our destination. That is unless there was something else...

"What are you doing?" I asked, curious to know what exactly is going on at this moment.

"You'll find out soon enough", she replied as she was removing the fish net pads and her ninja tool pouch. "You might want to do the same though".

I found myself taking off my hooded jacket along with my ninja tool pouch, upturned collar shirt and my sunglasses as well as my Leaf Village headband. Ino was already finished by the time I got my jacket and my shirt off. She not only took off the pads and tool pouch, but she also took off her hair band and Leaf Village headband as well.

"Well, this is it..." she said. We then took hands and started to walk on water. As soon as my foot touched the water, the kikaichu from inside my body left almost immediately and decided to wait on the water's edge. I took a glance back to see where exactly we are. We were in the training field, which was near the Memorial stone and close to where I am now. As soon as we were a long way out, we instantly fell into the water when we stop directing our chakra to the soles of our feet. Ino then pointed down toward the bottom of the water and started swimming down. I followed her so that I was nearby. After what felt like some time, we finally reached the bottom, which was rather cold.

Ino then made half a love heart with her right hand, which I did the same thing with my left hand and pressed my hand on her half of the heart. She smiled at that. My heart was beating fast at what was going to happen next, but I did not expect it. We then embraced each other for a brief moment, and then finally, we kissed. Her lips were soft and cool, whereas mine were warm by comparison. Our hearts were beating in unison and it felt like I was with Ino for almost 20 minutes underwater. When our lips parted, I pointed up, indicating it was time to return to the surface. By the time reached the surface, someone was waiting there as if they got here recently. That someone turned out to be Ino's father, Inoichi. From a distance, I thought he was serious, but it turned out that he was smiling. Smiling at the both of us and nodding with approval. We reached the shore the same way we left the ground to walk on water.

"Ino, I'm so proud of you that you found someone special", Inoichi commented happily. "And I'm happy for you too, Shino".

"Thank you", I replied.

"How was it, you two?" my father asked after he appeared.

"Well, you could say that the experience we had was phenomenal", Ino replied. "I think it was more than that. I've always wanted to do it sometime".

"I'm glad", said Inoichi.

"Aren't we all?" said Shibi.

I started chuckling after what I heard. That felt more like a once in a lifetime experience that you could remember until it was your turn to live amongst those who died for the village. From that point onward, I had that experience imprinted in my mind, even writing it down in my list of lifetime experiences to help me remember in case I forgot. My first kiss with Ino Yamanaka underwater...
